| Cerebrospinal
fluid findings in tuberculous meningitis are typically a white-cell count with 500 to 2,000 cells
with a mono-nuclear predominance, high protein and low sugar. In
this patient, the initial presentation was with a low white cell count,
and a polynuclear predominance. Observation over three days showed
an inversal of the type of white cells predominating to the more
characteristic presentation. |
