| The
diagnosis of female genitourinary tuberculosis is probably made in only of
a fraction of cases. It is believed, however, that Falloppian tube
and endometrial tuberculosis may account for much female infertility in
high-incidence countries. This patient is an example to the case: an
observant clinician requested a histological examination of an endometrium
biopsy specimen and caseous granulomata were reported. Subsequently,
the index of suspicion rose, and numerous other cases were diagnosed
subsequently. |
